I will be visiting vietnam (with my gf) through 25th Jan - 7th of Feb. We will be with her family in SGN and Long an. I have stayed with her family and been with them once earlier in this year for an extended period and they have welcomed me kindly (i am from aus). For tết we are bringing gifts over for the cousins, nieces, nephews in red envelopes and gifts for the adults, particularly those from aus. This is my first lunar new year, besides one in malaysia and i’m nervous about the celebrations/festivities during that period. As i obviously want to support my gf and her family i’m happy to do most things within reason to be with her. Is there any advice/information that going into this would be a big help? Or any things i should do beforehand, excluding the everyday vietnamese customs i follow with her? Thank you all 🙂 I’d love to see her happy and relaxed in this time period 🙂
