I’m really confused about how big this storm is going to be or whether Da Nang has had similar strength typhoons before and what the damage was. I’m from the southeastern United States, so I’m no stranger to hurricanes. I’m wondering if anyone can compare this typhoon’s strength to that of a hurricane—like, is it similar to a tropical storm, category 1, etc.? It feels like every news source I check tells me something different.
I work online, so I’m mostly worried about losing Wi-Fi for an extended period. Storm surge isn’t a major concern since we’re on a high floor. Any advice or experiences with typhoons, especially in Da Nang, would be greatly appreciated!
